KENTUCKY’S PREMIER

PAWPAW FRUIT SUPPLIER

PawPaw Fruit Cultivars

Sunflower

One of the most popular flavors on the farm. It produces very large fruit that have larger seeds but not very many of them. Super yellow pulp inside that is rich and melts in your mouth.

Shenandoah

One of the farms favorite tasting PawPaws. Has a smooth ice cream like texture that is bursting with flavor. You can really smell that PawPaw flavor in this one. If you’re new to PawPaw this might be your pick as it is sweet but not too sweet with the perfect amount of richness.

Susquehanna

My personal favorite!! Large fruit with a cross between orange and yellow flesh. There are so many different flavors running through this PawPaw that’s it’s hard to pick one. It has melt in your mouth pulp and lots of it. This is a great pick for all PawPaw lovers.

Potomac

This variety has very small amounts of seeds. So if you’re making something with PawPaw this might be your pick. The texture of this fruit is more on the firm side but don’t let that fool you as it’s still rich and full of flavor.

Wabash

This large size fruit is one of the rarest PawPaws to find as it doesn’t not graft well. Another creamy variety with an ice cream like texture that can be eaten right out of the skin. Rich and full of flavor that won’t disappoint all PawPaw lovers.

Pennsylvania Golden

One of the most creamy varieties of PawPaw we have. Some would say it almost takes on a watery like texture. We suggest this fruit for seasoned PawPaw enthusiasts as the taste can be strong. It’s full of flavor!!

Virginia Sweet

The taste is in the name. One of the most sweet tasting varieties you’ll find out there. It has yellowish flesh that is mildly creamy and a good choice for people with a sweet tooth.

NC-1

Round fruit with little seeds. The texture of NC-1 is firm with buttery yellow flesh. Very juicy with bold flavor.

KSU-Atwood

One of the more mild tasting fruits that gives off some tropical vibes. From novice to advanced PawPaw lover, everyone will enjoy this variety. It was developed right down the road at Kentucky State University.

Mango

Sweet in flavor and resemble Mangos in appearance. The texture is sweet with a creamy inside. We suggest eating this flavor immediately as it does not store well as some of our other flavors. This is a great fruit for beginner PawPaw eaters as it is not super intense tasting.

Prolific

One of our larger varieties that takes on a banana like taste. It is sweet and creamy and a favorite of the children. It is a vigorous grower and has an amazing taste.

Rappahannock

Has bright yellow flesh and is very sweet. Not too many seeds and has big yields. This PawPaw tree is odd in the fact that its leaves grow horizontally. So, you won’t be able to mistake it on our farm.

IXL

This variety is a cross between overleese and Davis. It produces large yellow fruit and is a late ripener. It will be one of the last trees with fruit to pick late into October.

Davis

One the the earliest varieties to bear fruit. It is a large size fruit and a heavy producer. It has yellow flesh with heavy banana notes.
